Each year our Wing participates in many activities and our membership accomplishes many amazing things.  Being a member of the Wing has its benefits.  Below are just some of the reasons you should join! 

• Receive the "Air Force" magazine, a National quarterly publication which informs members of industry in Air Force history, and shares some of the extraordinary experiences of Association members;

• Receive our locally produced 700 (City of Edmonton) Wing Newsletter, keeping our membership apprised of our local news, Wing events, and special interest articles;

• Volunteer opportunities to help organize, promote, present and/or attend the various activities hosted by the 700 (City of Edmonton) Wing, such as:

• Annual events: 

  • Battle of Britain Commemoration Parade,

  • Remembrance Day Ceremony, 

  • Poppy Day

• Aviation Memorial Stone Ceremony

• Wing Casino

• Support the many Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadrons in Edmonton and surrounding areas;

• Support our local veteran organizations, ie: Kipnes Centre, Edmonton Veterans Association Food Bank, etc.

• Have the opportunity to be recognized and receive awards for service, at the local, provincial, or National level. Over the years, 700 (City of Edmonton) Wing and its members have been the proud recipients of many of such awards including Wing of the Year, Lifetime Honorary Members, Member of the Year, Side Hill Gouger.

• Share your experiences, ideas, and talents, and take part in the fun and fellowship that Wing members regularly enjoy.

• Enjoy social activities such as TGIF, Speaker Series, BBQs, Wing Charter Night, golf tournaments, and the annual Christmas Party.
